The Sentio 1 Mini sound processor: Designed for Clarity, Comfort, and Life
The Sentio 1 Mini represents a leap forward in bone conduction hearing technology. As the industrial design studio behind this innovative device, we focused on creating a solution that seamlessly integrates into the user's life, providing exceptional hearing clarity in an incredibly compact and comfortable form factor.
Design considerations
Our design philosophy for the Sentio 1 Mini centered on human-centered design principles. Every curve and every detail was meticulously considered to enhance user experience. The goal was to create a device that not only delivers superior hearing performance but also feels natural and effortless to wear.
The Sentio 1 Mini is the latest iteration of our collaboration with Oticon Medical, building upon the design principles established with the Neuro and Ponto families. Across these products, a consistent design language is evident, underpinned by a focus on user-centric ergonomics, seamless integration, and a refined aesthetic.
Key features
The Sentio 1 Mini's lightweight and ergonomic design ensures all-day comfort, allowing users to focus on what matters most. The compact design and clean aesthetics make the Sentio 1 Mini a discreet and refined hearing solution.
The battery hatch snaps on magnetically, ensuring easy access and a secure hold. For kids, integrated tamper resistance is an option, too.
Advanced bone conduction technology delivers natural and immersive sound, enhancing speech understanding and overall listening experience. And because Sentio is a transcutaneous system, skin penetrating abutments are not necessary, improving comfort, and reducing the risk of skin irritation.
process
The design process involved extensive research, prototyping, and testing. Lockenwitz collaborated closely with Oticon Medical's engineers and audiologists to ensure the Sentio 1 Mini met the highest standards of performance and usability.
We focused on form, materials, surface finishes, and ergonomics to create a device that feels premium and performs in all environments.
